… but that doesn’t mean it’s coming to South Africa. The publishers involved in getting the game into the European territories aren’t affiliated with any local publishers, but at least the PAL version means importing is now an option. Hard-core gamers no doubt already have several websites they import European games from.

BlazBlue plays like you're in an anime fight scene. If you ever play as the character Bang, try out his Astral Finisher. We dare you not to laugh.

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is a new fighting game from Arc System Works (the people that made the highly-awesome Guilty Gear series of high-resolution 2D fighters). BlazBlue is, for all intent, the next in the Guilty Gear series but without the name as Arc System Works no longer have the rights to the series name. The European release comes from a partnership of PQube and Zen United (a coupling of Japanese and Asian developers targeting the European market). The game will be fully localized with support for German, Italian, French, English and Spanish. It will also feature bonus content, according to Zen United, such as a strategy guide and the game’s soundtrack (which is the same as the U.S. release), and “new gameplay content not available anywhere, like new characters and moves”.

We’re guessing that the European release will simply roll in the upcoming DLC for BlazBlue on to the disc.
