An amusing story of crime and punishment like something out of America’s Dumbest Criminals was featured recently on PC World. It seems that a 22 year old thief stole somebody’s Xbox 360 and then signed in to play games online using their Gamertag. Now assuming that you live in country where the authorities are likely to care about a stolen console, this is an incredibly stupid thing to do, even when you take into account the fact that Microsoft technically has the ability to trace a stolen machine by its unique serial number even if a thief has the brains to change the Gamertag.
The perp. Apparently he has done some grand theft auto in his time too - and I'm not talking about playing it on the stolen Xbox 360 either.
