Warner Bros has just announced the latest in their paranormal fright-fest shooter series, F.E.A.R 3, which should be good news for just about anyone who’s ever had the good sense to play these carefully scripted games in the past. The big difference this time is that the task of developing this new instalment has been passed from Monolith to Day 1 Studios. Also on board are writer John Carpenter (The Thing) and comic book writer Steve Niles (30 Days of Night). Among other things, it seems F.E.A.R 3 will sport both a co-op mode and a cover-mechanic to bring it up to date with modern shooters. Sound good? I think so.

More freaky frights to be had alongside encounters with decidely un-horrific enemies. The F.E.A.R formula certainly is unique.
