Not just SA, but Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Poland and Russia will all be receiving their share of love from Microsoft. The service is set to go live before the end of the year [UPDATE: or sooner, if rumours are to be believed], which is the first time we’ve ever actually heard a solid date on this topic.

The service will be available this summer and will focus first on delivering the core gaming and community features that have made Xbox LIVE the world’s premier online gaming destination, including matchmaking, friends list, Achievements, Gamerscore, a tailored Games Marketplace and more.

Now, there’s been no mention of what will happen to all of us evil fraudsters that have been using a UK or US account all along, so don’t hold your breath for a convenient transfer method. Still, one can hope.
