This makes us sad inside. It’s been confirmed by Michel Ancel (the creator of Rayman and the original Beyond Good & Evil) that the current generation of home consoles will not be graced with the presence of BG&E 2. Apparently the game’s development is quite far along, but the team is dedicating most of their time to Rayman Origins, meaning we’ll have to wait a bit longer for Jade’s next adventure.
“It is still alive and we are very far [into] development so we can’t go back now,” said Ancel. “We are targeting the next generation of consoles.”
Seems it’s going to be a long, long wait before we dive into the uniquely creative BG&E universe again. Still, at least it’s coming, and hopefully the enhanced capabilities of the next generation of consoles will make this sequel an experience that’s even better than what we’re hoping for.
