StarCraft II is getting a zerg-focused second chapter called Heart of the Swarm. If you didn’t know that then either you have zero interest in Blizzard’s sci-fi RTS, or you’ve been living in a Frtizl-approved basement for the last few years. Either way, you have my sympathies.
For those of you have been paying attention and reading previews like the one in the October edition of NAG, you’ll know that Heart of the Swarm is coming out sometime next year and that it will feature new units for the multiplayer portion of the game. Blizzard has decided to begin teasing the new units by releasing silhouette pictures of them via the StarCraft II Facebook page.
The above “reveal” is for a terran unit, in case you hadn’t figured that out by now. No clue as to what it might actually do, but I’m hoping for a new SCV that has a massive laser-cutter gun strapped to its head, allowing you to harvest minerals even faster and cut through hordes of zerglings like nobody’s business. Unlikely though, seeing as that would sodomise the game’s finely tuned multiplayer balancing, but a guy can dream right?
