We’ve already mentioned the Video Game Awards a couple of times on the site, but the final list of all nominees in all categories has finally been released. Categories range from best game for each platform (PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360) to “Best Song in a Game”. The nominees for “Best RPG” are absolute belters – no matter which game wins, there will be unhappy people.

The 2011 Spike TV Video Game Awards will be held on 10 December 2011. While it won’t be shown on local TV, you’ll be able to download the whole thing off a billion different torrent sites within a few hours of the show closing. Don’t forget that there are a bunch of game reveals throughout the show as well, so it’s definitely going to be worth paying attention on 10 December.

The full list is after the jump, and while there are some obvious winners in some categories, there are some real surprises to be found as well like the Freddy Kreuger DLC in the “Best DLC” category. Perhaps that’s just there for the “wow, was not expecting that at all” factor. Give the list a scan and let us know what you think. Is your game of 2011 in there somewhere?
