There seems to be a lot of gun-jumping going on at the moment. GDC is on right now, which means that there should be a number of reveals and exciting bits of news over the next few days. Things aren’t always water-tight however, as was seen this morning with Fable Heroes. Now it’s 343 Industries’ turn to have stuff leaked, as the first two screenshots for Halo 4 have appeared online courtesy of a posting on NeoGaf.

There are just two screens so far, and they both show a very detailed Master Chief. They’re not exactly hype-inducing, but that hasn’t stopped 343 from drumming up enthusiasm over Twitter. According to Corrinne Yu, principle engine programmer on Halo 4, the game is “the best looking game on Xbox and any other consoles we ever made and we’re all from AAA studios.”

Apparently the images are untouched as Paul Featherstone, the man responsible for capturing the screenshots, jumped onto the NeoGaf thread to answer questions. Hit the jump for a second picture of Master Chief in his impressively detailed armour.
