Wow, so this is still alive? I remember reading about Han Solo Adventures a long time ago, but a combination of zero development updates and my really short attention span, made me forget about its existence.

Basically, Han Solo Adventures is a Star Wars fan’s dream come true. If said Star Wars fan happens to be one that grew up playing LucasArts point-and-click adventure games like Fate of Atlantis and The Secret of Monkey Island, well then Han Solo Adventures is pretty much a wet dream come true.

Stacy Davidson embarked on this one-man fan homage almost three years ago. He’s developing an entire point-and-click adventure game (akin to those made on LucasArts’ SCUMM system) that follows the adventures of Han Solo prior to Episode IV: A New Hope. Because it’s using trademarked intellectual property, he’s not allowed to make any money off his project, meaning Han Solo Adventures will be completely free when it eventually launches.

Two days ago, Davidson uploaded some gameplay footage of his project. It’s looking awesome, but it’s also looking far from finished. I suppose that can be forgiven: one man making an entire adventure game ain’t like dusting crops, boy.

You can read all about the project over on its official website. There’s also an official Twitter account now, so be sure to hit the Follow button if you prefer your information in bite-sized chunks.
