It’s been rumoured for some time and originally cropped up as a trademark filing by Lucasarts on 02 May this year. The URL StarWars1313.com has also been grabbed. Late last night, GTTV unintentionally leaked the unveiling in a text description for their latest online episode. That description made mention of Star Wars 1313 and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. You can watch the GTTV episode right here.

Lucasarts has since, however, officially announced the game. Star Wars 1313 is described as a “third-person action cinematic adventure” and puts players in the shoes of a bounty hunter stalking the lower levels of Coruscant – the city planet and seat of the Galactic Empire.

The 1313 part doesn’t refer to Boba Fett (which many speculated seeing as the bounty hunter once went by the alias CT-1313) but instead refers to level 1313 of Coruscant. Level 1313 is described as a “ruthless criminal underground deep below the surface of the planet”.

The official description of the game reads:

“…the game puts players in control of a deadly bounty hunter as he uses an arsenal of exotic weaponry to hunt down his marks and uncover the truth surrounding a criminal conspiracy.  Star Wars 1313 emphasizes epic set pieces and fast-paced combat with a hero who uses human skills and gadgets, rather than supernatural Force powers, to make his way through this dangerous world.”
