It’s nearly the fourth of July, which many of you know is kind of a big deal in the US of A. To commemorate the impending Independence Day festivities, Ubisoft has released a new trailer for upcoming Assassin’s Creed III. It’s rather fitting that this trailer focuses on the whole war side of the game, without which the USA would not be celebrating Independence Day to begin with.

The new trailer shows off quite a bit of the revamped scale of things in Assassin’s Creed; those battles are very big and very impressive. I have to admit, one of the two lasting impressions I was left with after seeing the game debuted in London back in March, was how great the large, open battles looked. The other was the fluidity of Connor’s movements.

Hit the jump and you’ll get to see more of the former in this trailer. I’m not 100% sold on the rather cheesy music that Ubisoft chose for this trailer. On the bright side: it could have been dubstep, I guess.
