Giblets: DayZ mod becoming a standalone game

The ridiculously popular mod for Arma II, “DayZ”, is becoming a standalone game. The mod, which just recorded its one millionth unique user registration, has been picked up by Bohemia Interactive, the developers of Arma II. DayZ will follow a development cycle similar to Minecraft‘s, with a discounted alpha version being made available. Dean Hall, the creator of mod “DayZ”, will oversee the game’s development as project lead.
