Giblets: SmartGlass is not launching today

SmartGlass was supposed to come out today. Well, technically it is out today if you’re somebody who has just taken ownership of a brand new Microsoft Surface tablet, which released today. It isn’t for everyone else hoping to download it to their Android, iOS and Windows Phone 7.5 devices. Microsoft has confirmed (to website Engadget) that SmartGlass will only be arriving on other devices “soon”. Furthermore, website Digital Spy has been told by Microsoft that other devices will be getting SmartGlass “within the next six months”. So yes, if you’re not on a Windows 8 device, then you might be waiting a while for this one.
