Giblets: SmartGlass for Android is out

Despite last week’s statement by Microsoft telling users to expect delays in the release of SmartGlass for non-Windows 8 devices, the app has cropped up on the Google Play App Store. At present, the app does not work on tablets running Android software, but will work fine on Android smart phones. There is still no release date for the iOS version.

        Glad to hear it. Apparently the iOS version is out later this week, but not much to go on as yet.

    Can’t use it to type in the youtube app. This was literally my #1 reason to get smartglass, and they messed it up. You can type in bing search with smartglass … but not youtube -_-

      That is such a fail. I was hoping for a SmartGlass keyboard to replace ALL on-screen keyboards for the 360. Boo! :<

      Hey there Aequitas and Miklós. I found this amazing feature for the YouTube app the other day where you can “pair” your xbox Youtube app with your mobile (independent from SmartGlass). Go to the settings of your Youtube Xbox app and follow the pair instructions. Works much better than I think SmartGlass could (even it worked perfectly).

    Hi guys… any of you downloaded the App for iOS.. i can’t find it in South Africa App Store in iTunes.. I don’t have a fake account to download it from US/UK Stores..
