The sequel to 2010’s Metro 2033 was supposed to be out by now, but publisher THQ has been doing some serious schedule adjustments of late. This has given developer 4A Games more time to polish up the gritty looking Metro: Last Light.
Over the last couple of months, THQ has released live-action trailers for the game. They were excellent, and in case you missed them you can head over to the Metro YouTube channel to catch up; they’re all subtitled the “Survivors” series of trailers.
This latest trailer is pure gameplay however, and it looks incredible. The first Metro game was one of those under-appreciated first-person shooter titles. For those who played it, the game was a claustrophobic and violent experience, and Metro: Last Light looks set to continue with that. Hit the jump for the trailer as well as details on how to bag yourself a free (and legal!) copy of Metro 2033.
If you head over to the Metro Facebook page and hit the “Like” button, they’ll give you a Steam activation key for a copy of Metro 2033. If you haven’t played the game then I highly recommend giving it a go. It’s scary, unquestionably depressing and really well made. Fun times!
