Intel’s Haswell family is going to be heading our way this year and its going to change the desktop game in a number of ways. In order to make sure its not drowned out by the huge noise Computex makes every year, Intel has planned to reveal the CPU family to partners and the media about a week before Computex begins. At the expo, the hardware will be available for some hands-on love and there’ll be many motherboards, redesigned coolers and probably a game or two to demonstrate how far Intel has taken their Core design. Market availability following the launch should be within a month, as Intel expects Haswell to make up 14-16% of its total product shipments in Q3 2013.
