AMD’s Never Settle bundle gets some new games

Over the Christmas season there was an amazeballs games bundle that AMD was offering for all new Radeon HD7000 buyers, bundling a free copy of Far Cry 2 and 20% off your purchase of Medal of Honour: Warfighter (sadly, even a discount doesn’t make the game worth buying). If you bought some of the more expensive cards, you’d also qualify for free copies of Hitman: Absolution and Sleeping Dogs. That promo ended on 31st November last year. It must have been successful, because AMD is going in for another round. This year’s bundle is properly awesome.

UPDATE: There’s an official-looking table inside that details game availability around the world.

By buying a new HD7800 or HD7900 series card, you qualify for a free copy of Bioshock Ultimate and either Tomb Raider or Crysis 3. Being in the Never Settle bundle, one hopes that AMD did some collaboration with the game developers in order to bring better performance for gamers looking at buying their cards. AMD has also extended the previous Never Settle bundle option to run in conjunction with the new one – purchase two HD7900 series cards and you’ll get all three games as well as all the ones from the previous bundle for free.

If you’re in the market for a new card in February (I know I would be if I had the money), stop and seriously consider a Radeon for a moment. I know that sounds like a shill, but all Nvidia really has is free copies of Assassin’s Creed III with a GTX650 Ti or a GTX660 Ti. Considering that on launch either of the games you get will amount to R900 or more, this is definitely worth it.

Also, you know what this means, don’t you? AMD is eager to clear out stock to prepare for the HD8000 release. That could be mere weeks away! Keep your browser glued to NAG Online as more details surface.
