One of the most prominent feature advantages that that Xbox 360 has over the PlayStation 3 is cross-game chat, and the PlayStation community has been super vocal about this deficit for years now.
It would have been remiss of Sony not to implement it in its next-generation console, especially considering that it was implemented with the PS Vita.
Now we have official confirmation that PS4 will support cross-game chat. Although Sony has not made a big deal about the announcement, page two of the press release PDF, viewable here, mentions it clearly, alongside various other features.
“Through PS4, users are able to deepen their connections through co-op play or ‘cross-game chat’.”
The PDF also mentions dual-screen integration on PS4, including PS Vita, smartphones and tablets, as well as instant booting, cloud gaming, and all sorts of other interesting new features.
