Ubisoft needs to rename Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix to Leaking Phoenix, because more information on the project has cropped up online when it probably shouldn’t have. Just over a week ago, the Internet learnt of this project, but at the time it wasn’t clear wither it was a new Assassin’s Creed game, novel, comic book, web series, etcetera. If new leaks are to be believed, then Phoenix Rising is a PlayStation Vita game.
A pre-order listing for the alleged game appeared on a Spanish retailer called XtraLife.es but that listing has since been removed. Furthermore, a second image (seen above) has been picked up by website AllGamesBeta. That image looks very much like a screenshot, with graphics that could easily pass for a PSV game.
This would be the second Assassin’s Creed title to be released exclusively on PlayStation Vita. Last year saw the release of the rather successful Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation. The Spanish retailer had Phoenix Rising pegged for an alleged release on the 10th of October, which is three weeks before Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is due for release. Ubisoft has issued a “no comment”.
