It’s already the industry’s worst kept secret that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in some state of development – arrested or otherwise – at Ubisoft Montpellier in France, but the studio hasn’t exactly been playing nice when it comes to important stuff like a launch date.
Now it looks like Ubisoft might have something to say about the cult sequel at its E3 conference later today. In a post on Facebook accompanied by an image of Beyond Good & Evil‘s porky co-protagonist Pey’j, the company said that, “We’re a bit busy prepping for E3. Time to call in some reinforcements. (Points if you remember this classic character!)”
To keeps things in perspective, Ubisoft’s official Facebook page is plastered over with with images of games expected at E3, so this might be something more than a cheeky troll at the office. Or maybe Ubisoft is planning to announce a Beyond Good & Evil and Assassin’s Creed crossover.
Beyond Good & Evil creator Michael Ancel has previously said that the sequel would be released for next-gen consoles, so keep those fingers, toes, and trotters crossed.
