Microsoft’s pre-Gamescom press event just finished and as can be expected, they revealed a new game heading to Xbox One: Fable Legends. The Xbox One exclusive will be an entirely online experience and will centre on four-player co-op adventuring. So will this be something along the lines of Borderlands in Albion?

Set 400 years before the first Fable game, Fable Legends will play out during the series’ “Age of Heroes”, which is often referenced in previous Fable titles. Sticking with Fable staples, you’ll be able to play as a good or evil character. SmartGlass integration has also been confirmed, with players who take on a villainous role being able to interact with four-player hero teams via a tablet, setting traps and summoning enemies.

There’s a pre-rendered, but still very pretty, reveal trailer after the jump. This will be the first new Fable game without series creator Peter Molyneux’s involvement. It’ll be interesting to see how it compares to previous titles.
