This was leaked a few days ago thanks to numerous Ubisoft game IP logos finding their way online, but confirmation has finally come. The PlayStation Vita exclusive, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation will be getting the HD facelift and porting treatment like many other Sony exclusive mobile games of late. Interestingly, however, this one is heading to multiple platforms, with the PC and Xbox 360 getting access to the game as well as Sony’s PlayStation 3.
Liberation HD which will be the same game as the one that appeared on the Vita, but developer Ubisoft Sofia is adding new missions, cut-scenes and revamped visuals thanks to the AnvilNext engine – the same engine powering Assassin’s Creed III.
There’s no release date as yet, but the game is scheduled for some time in 2014 as a digital download. Interestingly, Ubisoft has chosen to drop the “III” from the title; the original PS Vita release fell under the Assassin’s Creed III umbrella. Reveal trailer after the jump.
