You guys! You guys! A release date! Ubisoft and Obsidian have finally provided an actual release date for the rather troubled South Park RPG, The Stick of Truth. It’s hitting PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 10 December 2013. That’s the US release date; expect EU and South Africa to be just behind that if history has taught us anything about Ubisoft’s roll-out plans.
On top of a release date, Ubisoft has unveiled a special edition dubbed “The Grand Wizard Edition”. This edition comes with a copy of the game, a map of South Park and a 6” figurine of Cartman in his wizard get-up. Additionally, all pre-orders of the game come with the “Ultimate Fellowship Pack DLC” that adds four exclusive costumes based on RPG character archetypes: a Holy Defender, Rogue Assassin, Necromancer Sorcerer and Ranger Elf.
There’s a new trailer for the game as well. You can find that nestled after the jump. If I didn’t know that this was a trailer for a South Park game, I’d think it was a trailer for a new feature film; that’s a really good thing.
