Axed BioShock movie concept art surfaces

Would you kindly stop killing off all my dream movies Hollywood? No? Sigh. Was worth a try.

The BioShock  movie was resigned to production hell in about 2011, but only recently have some of the concept art pieces produced for the film popped up on the ‘Net.

These incredible concept art pieces by Jim Martin makes the pain that we won’t see a BioShock movie for a while even more unbearable. The pieces truly capture the entire mood of Rapture, from the sprawling underwater city outside to the heartbreaking Big Daddies and Little Sisters wandering around within. It’s sad that the movie was axed, but that shouldn’t stop you from reveling in awe at Jim Martin’s pieces, which you’ll find after the jump.

This image gives me the creeps. I assume it's hinting at the origins of the Little Sisters.

Oh Damn! Those are Big Daddies! But like... empty! Maybe a connection to the second game's story line?

Oh you know - just everyday life in a city doomed to destruction.
