Giblets: Molyneux chimes in on EA’s mobile Dungen Keeper

Electronic Arts’ Dungeon Keeper mobile app sucks the big one. You know this; we know this; the world knows this; EA might even know this. Do you know who else knows this? Peter Molyneux – everyone’s favourite, loveable, crackpot game designer who created the original Dungeon Keeper back in 1997. Speaking to the BBC, Mr. Molyneux said: “I felt myself turning round saying, ‘What? This is ridiculous. I just want to make a dungeon. I don’t want to schedule it on my alarm clock for six days to come back for a block to be chipped.'”

While many hate Peter Molyneux, there’s no denying that it must be pretty damn awful seeing a well-loved franchise that you created being butchered like this.

I would say that he should just make another Dungeon Keeper, but he already did – a global, free to play title that had people tapping away on blocks for hours for no reward at all. Shut up, Peter.

Well at least you didn’t have to pay to chip away at those blocks. You could, but you didn’t have to.

IIRC, you could also pay to put more blocks back into the system :-P
