Giblets: Titanfall needs 48GB of drive space on PC

Respawn’s Titanfall recently enjoyed a successful open beta testing round, with over two million players participating in the open beta and having their pants soiled by how incredibly addicting it is to hear the words, “Stand by for Titanfall.” With the high anticipation for this game reaching levels that previously only Valve could achieve, many gamers on the PC platform are asking what the space requirements are for the game. Well, you’d better upgrade your SSDs or clear away that anime series you’re never going to finish because of all the terrible filler and open up approximately 50GB of free drive space to make room for it.

“Stand by for mass file deletion.”

That’s pretty darn huge. I wonder if the actual game is 64bit?

32 and 64-bit executables, but it relies on DX10 as a base.

lol. I would think they’d just go Directx 11 with this game :P

And yet the textures never look that good considering how absolutely massive they are. mainly using ghosts as the example here.

Whatever is happening in Ghosts, I can guarantee you that those textures aren’t very nice at all. Uncompressed textures, perhaps, but they’re still very crappy. Perhaps it’s just a straight port from the Xbone?
