Notch moves from cultural phenomenon to… Cliffhorse?

Markus “Notch” Persson has released a new game. As the name suggests, it involves a horse running on cliffs (which are actually more like hills). I suppose it can at least be said that the horse does some unique horizontal-parkour style running. The game took Notch around two hours to build, using free Unity game engine assets, and was created after he watched a stream of Skyrim and joked at the very unique horse physics within the game.

That is about all there is to this “game”, apart from a large cow-skinned ball which you can run into and move around. The game is free to download here and, if you really want to, you can donate some Dogecoins to Notch as well for his “efforts”. He claims that the game has earned over 280,000 Dogecoins (or $100) so far.

Clearly Notch was just having a bit of fun and trying to see how much attention he could get with the game’s release. He was, at the very least, willing to poke fun at himself by posting the following tweet:

Goat Simulator is a bit different, in that it actually has a lot of content, a lot of things to explore and discover, and was sold for cheap only because people asked to buy it after seeing the original prototype the guys made for a weekend game jam. Cliffhorse was Notch messing around with the Unity tutorials and then jokingly throwing it out there. I doubt there are any plans to turn Cliffhorse into anything.

lol. Add crazy physics (more than the ball) and it could be something :P
