The Crew is another open-world game from Ubisoft, but this time it has cars! You can even pretend you’re in the Cars universe, although I doubt you’ll be lucky enough to have Mater as your sidekick. Although it is going to be DLC-ridden and with a few microtransactions here and there, it might be saved by the fact that Ivory Tower is concentrating on the driving experience and it is illustrated very well in this E3 gameplay trailer. Hit the jump to check it out!
For a quick recap, The Crew is set in the United States and it’s an open-world, go anywhere game that is also capable of being always online if you want it to be (so, a lot like Need For Speed: Rivals). In typical Ubisoft fashion for 2014, it’ll have four-player co-op missions and in the typical fashion for racing games these days, you can join crews and clubs and challenge or race with other crews for money, XP, cars or upgrade points.
The game will be launching on 11 November 2014 (same day as Halo: Master Chief Edition) and will be on the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Windows PC platform. The trailer takes players from one side of the US coast to the other, a trip that takes just over two hours in real-time with the fastest car and a good driver.
