We’ve just received word from Microsoft that the Xbox One will be available in South Africa on 23 September 2014. We will be getting two options resulting in two different prices: you can pick up an Xbox One console with a 500GB hard drive, 14 day Xbox LIVE Gold trial, and a single controller for R6,299.99. Alternatively you can throw in a Kinect sensor and pay R7,999.99 if you want to talk to your TV and wave your hands around.

Microsoft’s press release mentioned that Forza Horizon 2 and the Halo: Master Chief Collection will be available alongside the console when it launches in September. Both titles were unveiled last night during Microsoft’s pre-E3 media briefing. They’ve also promised more news on game and console bundles closer to the release date.
