This probably says more about Michael’s approach to weddings than anything else.
Michael: You know, planning two weekends of Star Wars binge-watching with a friend in advance is almost as much work as planning a wedding.
No, planning the Star Wars binge is more work. What order are you going to watch them in, and how much time do you allocate to pausing the film and discussing how weird it is that Ben Kenobi doesn’t recognise R2-D2, why Luke Skywalker – who was basically in the witness protection program on what is, if there is a bright centre in the universe, the planet that’s farthest from it – kept his dad’s surname, and what the fuck midi-chlorians are about? Also, do the prequels even count?
That’s before getting started on the Death Star melon balls.
Just do what half the world does and pretend the sequels don’t exist, makes things easier.
Thanks for the invite, Michael. 😐
I find your lack of faith disturbing, I sent it via Bothan
courier services. They said they just have a little ‘job’ to do and after that
you’ll get it. I also posted this reply last night and it never appeared. So if
this is a duplicate, this is a duplicate.
Am I the only one who liked the prequels? I mean the originals are awesome and all but I think the prequels added a lot to the universe and has it’s place. Better light saber battles, lore of the empire, clone wars etc. It did a lot wrong but did just as much right. Darth Maul, Mace Windu, Jango fette, General Grievas, Joda in his prime are just some examples of awesomeness in there. Can you really just disregard all that?
I… I also liked them… But of course I did. I was eight when The Phantom Menace released. I didn’t know what Star Wars was yet, let alone that there were already three films. And Darth Maul was amazing and should’ve won that battle, damnit. I wanted him to slaughter the floppy-eared Jar-Jar git, but then he went and got halved!
I have since educated myself and watched the original trilogy, but I still like the prequels. They gave me my first glimpse of the force and, even if just for that, I’m glad they exist.
