In an unfortunate turn of events, the release date of Eidos-Montreal’s upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has had its release date “augmented” by several months to August. Hit the jump for more details.
In a statement released on their official website, Eidos-Montreal head David Anfossi explained that they want to delay the game to fine-tune and tweak it to perfection. Anfossi explained:
“We’re confident and proud of the game so far. However, as we are now playing through the game in full we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations, and refinement to meet our high standards.
We are sorry to disappoint you with this news, and also thank you for all of your support and comments. This game is a huge part of our lives, and we don’t want to compromise on its quality.“
Alright, alright. Considering the other big release day blunders we’ve experienced this year, it’s a welcome sight seeing companies taking more care with their products. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is now releasing on August 23rd, 2016, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
