Mortal Kombat X is getting more DLC. The Kombat Pack 2 will, like the previous Kombat Pack, bring four new characters to the game. This time around we’re getting the Xenomorph from Alien, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and then more traditional Mortal Kombat characters of Bo’ Rai Cho and Triborg.
OK, so Triborg isn’t that traditional, but basically NetherRealm has used the game’s three character variants template to bring in Sektor, Cyrax, and cyborg Smoke. You’re getting three classic Mortal Kombat characters in one! Nice!
As for Bo’ Rai Cho, the Drunken Fist master is as gross as he was when he first appeared in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. He drinks too much, vomits on and farts on opponents. Personally I’d rather take a Xenomorph tongue to the cranium than get barfed on but that’s just me and I have OCD cleanliness issues.
You can check out all four of the new characters in action below. The Kombat Pack 2 is out in “early 2016”, but no price has been confirmed. The previous pack cost $30 so expect that or something in the region thereof. Also, if you pick up the Kombat Pack 2 (which is basically another Season Pass) you’ll get Goro (previously a pre-order “exclusive”… surprise surprise) and a bunch of new costume packs:
- Apocalypse Pack – three new character skins, reimagining characters Takeda, D’Vorah and Erron Black with an apocalyptic theme.
- Brazil Pack – features three new character skins: Futbol Cage, Capoeira Liu Kang and Gaucho Kung Lao.
- Kold War Pack – features three new character skins: Motherland Sonya, Tundra Sub-Zero and Revolution Kano.
- Kold War Scorpion – Kold War-themed Scorpion character skin
