Why would you need something like this? Let me tell you what it is first. It’s a 2,600mAh power bank. It’s kind of like a bank where people store money, except this stores power, has fewer tellers and you don’t have to deal with those annoying push-button doors they have for security. Also, there are no queues.
The idea is that you charge the power bank and then when the red LED stops blinking, the bank is in turn ready to charge your mobile devices. It comes with a cable to charge the power bank, but you must supply charging cables for the devices you’re planning to use with the power bank. For those out there that simply must fiddle with everything you can also twist it open and change the paper artwork inside the bank. These power banks are themed around a variety of Star Wars characters. We were sent the Darth Vader and the R2-D2 versions.
Now, back to why you might need this. It’s super-convenient for those times when you’re travelling and need extra battery life at hand, or if you’re en route to (or you’re already at) a place without electricity, or if you often find yourself stranded at sea, too far from anywhere to charge your phone but not too far that you can’t reach cellular towers. The important thing here is that it works, and it’s useful, but only you can decide if it’s the sort of thing that’ll be useful in your life.
