Fallout 4 is set to expand on the 22nd of March with the release of its first DLC pack. Dubbed Fallout 4: Automatron, it’ll add the ability for you to build and modify a bunch of robot companions in such a way that they’ll complement your play style.
There’s a trailer showing off some of what you can expect from Automatron. It’s below. IT’S BELOW.
That looks like fun. I’ve yet to dive into Fallout 4, but it makes me happy that when I eventually do there’ll be all this robot-y stuff with which to tinker. Here’s how Bethesda describe what’s up in Automatron:
In Automatron, the mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons such as the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!
This’ll be the first of three known content packs for Fallout 4, with more DLC to be revealed as 2016 marches on. Next month will see the release of Wasteland Workshop, which will expand the game’s settlements stuff, and in May you’ll be able pick up Far Harbor, in which you’ll travel outside of the Commonwealth to Maine. Apparently it’ll feature the largest landmass Bethesda’s ever created for post-launch content.
Automatron will set you back $9.99, or just over R100. It’s out March 22nd.
