EA Sports has announced that FIFA 17 is being built using DICE’s Frostbite engine, which also powers games like Battlefield 4 and Star Wars Battlefront. They’ve also given the game a release date. It’ll launch on September 27th.
There’s a bit o’ added info (and a teaser trailer!) below if you’re interested.
The game will be available on Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. EA has said that only the PC, PS4 and XBO versions of the game will use the Frostbite engine. The FIFA series was previously powered by EA’s Ignite engine. It’s said the game will be fully revealed on June 12th. Which is this Sunday, I think. Wait, what day is it?
Now, here’s that trailer. It shows no actual gameplay. I’m sorry, but I’m not the one in charge of these things. I’m barely allowed to use the coffee machine without supervision.
