Over on the PlayStation Store, more than 360 items (games, DLC and expansions) with a distinctly Japanese flavour have received hefty discounts. These discounts go as high as 70% off and the catalogue ranges from PS2 classics to recent releases.
Following the announcement of Resident Evil 7, every title in the franchise except RE5 has been marked down. The remastered Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 are R119 and R150 respectively. Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, and 4 are all below R100 for PS3.
Two other franchises with big discounts are Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid. MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has been slashed 47% to R349, and the rest of the library, including titles from PS1, PS3, and PSP, have all been heftily marked down. If tactical espionage action is more your thing, MGS V: The Phantom Pain is going for R299 and the MGS HD Collection is selling for R175.
The sale runs until July 7.
