Quantum Break 546

For the last few months, I’ve been desperately trying to avoid any and all videos relating to Quantum Break. The reason for this is simple: I haven’t bought the game yet because I don’t own an Xbox One, and I really, really don’t like buying things from the Windows Store.

Now it seems that my prayers have been answered, as the PC version of Quantum Break will receive both a retail and Steam release next month.

First released on 5 April exclusively to XBO and Windows Store, Quantum Break has received extremely positive reviews across the board. Heck, Tarryn called it an “absolutely phenomenal game” in her review.

According to an announcement by Microsoft and Remedy Entertainment on Xbox Wire, the Microsoft-exclusive game will be made available on PC on 14 September. The physical version, brilliantly titled Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition, will include all these cool things:

  • Premium packaging
  • 5 game discs (one-time Steam key redemption required)
  • Making of Blu-ray
  • Making of book
  • 1 soundtrack CD
  • 2 posters
  • Quickstart Guide

Buying either version will cost you $39.99 (around R531). In case you’re wondering, the game requires a fairly beefy PC (full specs here) to run it at acceptable frame rates.
