When Pokémon Snap launched in 1999, it wasn’t exactly the console Pokémon game that people wanted. However, it has garnered a positive reputation and a large fanbase, all of whom are surely clamouring for a sequel. In the latest Pokémon Sun and Moon news, the games will be getting a minigame called Poké Finder, which looks fairly close to a new Snap title.
According to the Sun and Moon website, Poké Finder is usable via the in-game Pokédex. At certain points throughout the game’s world, called Photo Spots, players will be able to take pictures of fully 3D ‘Mons just hanging out, frolicking in the grasses and whatnot. Photos will also be judged, and can be shared online for other players to rate and judge.
All in all, it seems like a neat feature and throwback to a fan-favourite game. Pokémon Sun and Moon launches for Nintendo 3DS on 18 November, 2016.
