Yes, we can totally have two Gears of War 4 newsies in one day because… it’s Gears of War. I mean, it’s our official game here at NAG. Shut up, Dane. It is. Do you want to eat a curb? That’s what I thought. Anyway, three weeks ahead of its launch on 11 October, the game’s apparently ready to rock, roll, and roflstomp, while the team presumably works on neon pink Gnasher skins (YES, PLEASE) or whatever between now and then.
The Coalition has also announced that the PC version of the game will include split-screen play, with cross-platform play between PC and Xbox One also available for all game modes, so that’s rad.
“With Gears of War 4, I’m very proud of what the team at The Coalition has achieved,” gushes Xbox boss Phil Spencer, seductively licking a chainsaw (maybe). “Not only is it the most technically ambitious Gears game yet – with split-screen play on both Xbox and Windows 10, Xbox Play Anywhere support, Cross Play across all co-op modes, and available 4K graphics – it’s a return to the grounded, tense and brutal tone that made so many fall in love with this universe, story and characters for the first time.”
Oh hey, and new screenshots.
