To combat NVIDIA’s soon-to-be-released GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, AMD has announced a price cut for the Radeon RX 470 and RX 460, two of their new mid-range Polaris graphics cards that have been taking the fight to NVIDIA’s new Pascal graphics cards. The RX 470 drops from US $169 to $159, while the RX 460 drops from $109 to $99. The RX 470 is now only $20 ahead of the GTX 1050 Ti, offering twice the amount of memory bandwidth and significantly more performance. The RX 460’s main competition, the GeForce GTX 950, now costs $20 more and becomes difficult to recommend. These price drops won’t reach our shores for some time, but at least a little respite is coming our way.
