dishonored-2-system-specs

A lot of you (mainly my girlfriend and Matthew Vice) seemed to really like the first Dishonored. I didn’t. But just because I wasn’t overly blown away by the first game, doesn’t mean I’m not super hyped to murder some folk in Dishonored 2 when it releases next week. I mean, have you seen these trailers!?

The game footage we’ve been treated to thus far has been quite impressive, and the game’s new Karnaca setting is strikingly pretty. But all of that impressive prettiness means that you’ll need a fairly decent rig to fully appreciate it all. Requirements and a new video after the jump.

Before we jump into all the sexy PC stuff, have a gander at this new video focusing on the game’s male protagonist Corvo and his “motivations and his upgraded powers.”

In a post on its official blog, Bethesda announced that Dishonored 2 has gone gold, and revealed the game’s minimum and recommended specs. The requirements are more or less in line with what you’d expect with such a big release.

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 7 64-Bit or later
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2400 / AMD FX-8320 or better
  • Memory: 8GB of RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 660 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB or better
  • Hard Drive: 60GB free space

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-Bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4770 / AMD FX-8350 or better
  • Memory: 16GB of RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB or better
  • Hard Drive: 60GB of free space

The blurb also states that the game will be out on a single disc, and additional files will need to be downloaded from Steam in order to run, and require Steam activation. The announcement also included a list of advanced PC settings players can expect to fiddle around with.

Dishonored 2 will be blinking onto PC, PS4, and XBO on 11 November, while those who pre-ordered get to play it a day early on 10 November.
