ps4-pro-launch-games-list

The PlayStation 4 Pro is a thing that should essentially make the regular PS4 and the PS4 Slim consoles obsolete (other than price) when it launches sometime this year. It features a much beefier GPU and CPU, and brings with it 4K, HDR, and a whole lot more bang for your buck.

But those planning on grabbing the PS4 Pro as early as possible are left with a very important question – how many games will actually be able to take advantage of the console’s improved capabilities on day one? Well, the answer is many, and they include the likes of Battlefield 1, Dishonored 2, and Titanfall 2. Check out the full list below.

The list comes courtesy of a post on PlayStation’s official blog, and will apparently be updated with more titles as they’re announced. It currently stands at 44 titles that should all be available on launch day. Note that some of the games are updated to be Pro ready, and others like Infinite Warfare have the capability built-in.

The post also explained that more than 45 other titles will be receiving the Pro Enhanced treatment this year, such as Watch Dogs 2, The Last Guardian, Killing Floor 2, and Final Fantasy XV. Games like Nioh, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, and For Honor are all expected to be added to the list in “early 2017.”

“Further to that,” the post states “all first party software launched in 2017 and beyond, including Gravity Rush 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone and Gran Turismo Sport, will enjoy the benefits of the world’s most powerful console.”

The PS4 Pro will launch locally on 30 November or 30 December depending on who you ask, or you know, it’ll be here when it gets here. Price for the console is expected to be around R7000.
