For Honor is set to be many things when it launches on 14 February next year, including a medieval warfare simulator, a damned decent hack and slash with a fresh approach to swordplay, and Matthew Fick’s favourite thing ever. But now, according to a post on NeoGAF, and confirmed by GameSpot, it’ll also be an “always online experience.”

While the game’s multiplayer aspect is by far the most intriguing, For Honor will be bundled with a full solo campaign. But even if you don’t ever intend to venture into multiplayer, you’ll still need a solid internet connection because “some elements of progression, which is hosted online, are shared across story and multiplayer mode.”
