If you’ve been following the development of Gun Media’s Friday the 13th: The Game, you’ll know that it’s a multiplayer game where camp counsellors try to survive against a supernatural killer with a penchant for ultra satisfying, mega gruesome murder. I mean, there’s a campaign mode in the works, but the multiplayer is really where it’s at.

We’ve already seen the game in action, and it looks pretty fun, but the best part of the entire thing is undoubtedly the aforementioned murderin’. Which is great, because the game’s latest trailer features a ton of creative murder scenes and gore, and it’s all set to glorious ’80s glam metal.

Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person horror, survival game where players take on the role of a teen counselor, or for the first time ever, Jason Voorhees,” says the game’s description on Steam. “You and six other unlucky souls will do everything possible to escape and survive while the most well-known killer in the world tracks you down and brutally slaughters you.”

The game doesn’t have a set release date yet, other than “early” this year, but we do know that its multiplayer mode will be out quite a bit earlier than its campaign.

Friday the 13th: The Game will slash its way onto PC, PS4 and XBO.
