Way back when I first registered for Battle.net, I wasn’t super creative with my name choice. I went with JustTank because, you know, it’s just my name. It never occurred to me that literally everyone would assume that I only play tank characters. But they do, and unfortunately I’m not all that into Overwatch‘s current roster of tank heroes.

Thankfully, Blizzard announced a new tank character called Orisa a few weeks ago, and she kicks a whole lot of ass. Her full game debut is taking a little longer than usual, but according to a new hero preview video, she’ll go live early next week, which is probably when I’ll finally live up to my own BattleTag.

In case you’re unfamiliar with Overwatch‘s newest addition, Orisa was created by an ingenious little kid named Efi Oladele, and her main purpose is to serve as an “anchor tank” to her team. Her abilities range from a shield she can plop down wherever she wants, the Fortify ability that makes her immune to crowd control as well as reducing damage taken, a watered-down version of Zarya’s Graviton Surge, and a line-of-sight ally damage boost ultimate. My favourite part of the whole shebang is her Fusion Driver weapon, which is effective at medium to long range and has a massive clip size.

You can see all of that in action in the video below. Orisa will be out on 21 March.
