I’ve been here for about 300 articles now, and I haven’t once written anything directly related to Uncharted. I blame Tarryn, just because. It’s a damned shame really considering I absolutely adored the first two entries in the series, but hey, now is as good a time as any.
In case you need a quick recap, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be the first Uncharted game to not feature Nathan Drake looking for old things and kicking ass. Instead, players will take control of the intrepid Chloe Frazer as she… looks for an old thing, and presumably also kicks some ass. It’s exciting stuff. Info and trailer below.
In a post on Naughty Dog’s official blog, the developer explains that The Lost Legacy will feature everything fans of the series have come to expect, including a “deep narrative with complex character development, all new destinations, refined gameplay, and blockbuster cinematic moments.” Also included in the blurb is a trailer that serves as an introduction to the game’s main plot, that being Chloe’s hunt for “the fabled Tusk of Ganesh.”
The Lost Legacy is expected to release on 23 August and will cost you $39.99 (around R550). Owners of the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Digital Deluxe Edition, Triple Pack, or the Explorer’s Pack will be able to grab a digital copy of the spin-off for free at launch.
Pre-ordering the game at “participating retailers” will net players a digital copy of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy when it launches on PS4, while PS Plus pre-orders will come with an exclusive PS4 theme.
