You may remember Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice as that visually striking game centred around a warrior and her experiences living with mental illness during the Viking age, or just as the game I gushed about at length last year. Either way, Ninja Theory’s latest project looks unbelievably promising and the developer has finally revealed the game’s pricing, when we’ll be able to get our hands on it, and they even threw in an intense new trailer for good measure. Things below.
According to a post on the game’s official website, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be making its way onto PS4 and PC (via Steam and GOG) on 8 August, and will only cost you $29.99 (R385). Pre-ordering the game on PS4 will net players a dynamic theme, while those pre-ordering on PC will get a free digital comic short titled Hellblade: Senua’s Song.
“From the makers of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry, comes a warrior’s brutal journey into myth and madness,” reads the game’s Steam page. “Set in the Viking age, a broken Celtic warrior embarks on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover.”
