I was far more addicted to Bethesda’s Fallout Shelter than an adult with real responsibilities should ever be. Building specialised rooms, defending against intruders, managing inhabitants and
forcing them to repopulate making them kiss, and sending them out on suicide missions was just too damned fun.
Well, it seems like Ubisoft liked the game quite a bit too, and decided that it would totally be better with goofy-looking assassins and stuff. Enter Assassin’s Creed Rebellion.
According to a post on Ubisoft’s official blog, the game is set in 15th century Spain “during the height of the Inquisition”, and will let players build and manage their own assassin HQ. Players will also be able to send assassins out on “various infiltration missions” to gather resources and crafting materials.
“Assassin’s Creed Rebellion brings together a roster of more than 40 Assassins. Recruit familiar Assassins such as Ezio, Aguilar, Shao Jun, Claudia, and Machiavelli, along with more than 20 new unlockable characters exclusively created for Assassin’s Creed Rebellion,” explains the blurb.
The game will be free to play (with microtransactions, obviously), and will hit mobile devices worldwide “soon”. If you’re looking for some actual gameplay footage, you’ll find it here.
