Bandai Namco’s new post-apocalyptic bloodsucker RPG Code Vein won’t be out until sometime next year, and we still don’t know very much about it besides the “post apocalyptic” and “bloodsucker” stuff. Debuted back in May, its first trailer revealed a game probably most sanguinely (GET IT) described as Dark Souls with vampires, however, and a new gameplay trailer out of this weekend’s Anime Expo 2017 in LA is more of the same.

“In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment,” the game’s official synopsis explains. “At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity.”

Code Vein is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One by the same team behind the sci-fi RPG God Eater series.
