I’m without a doubt the unluckiest person I know. I love dinosaurs, and I love games with dinosaurs, but I’ve been holding off on grabbing Ark: Survival Evolved until its price dropped to more reasonable levels during a sale. But I made up my mind to bite the bullet and buy it sometime this week because of how great Michael made it sound in this fine piece of video journalism.

Unfortunately, in preparation for the game shedding its Early Access status on 8 August, its price has shot up to a disheartening R589. Over on its official Twitter, the game’s developers explained that the reason for the hike is to “ensure retail parity”. I mean, I trust Michael’s opinion, but I don’t trust it enough to shell out that much cash.
